You know how once in a while you come across a deal that is too good to be true. And it’s in your size, and it’s something you have coveted, and it is a fraction of the retail cost. You know the Universe is conspiring against you, because there really is no discretionary income, but how can you say ‘No’?
I HAD to. It had my name on it! I just know it would have haunted me if I had let it go. (Which my guilt was trying to persuade me to do.) Most people regret their impulse buys, but I have discovered over the years, that I am actually the opposite. My impulse buys are the things I wear the most. Those ‘gut feelings’ you have…. learn to trust them. (not just talkin’ about shopping here, but this ain’t no therapy session, just some good old Retail Therapy for now!)
So, here it is! It came in the mail today. A vest from Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2012. I had a “real” job for a year and a half at an upscale boutique in the schwanky part of town where they sold pieces from the line. The line is beautiful and modern in a wearable way. For now, I’ll wear the vest with a black or white t-shirt and black cropped pants, but if I can score the pants or skirt, I would wear their prints head to toe for an entirely modern and sophisticated look.
Coincidentally, Peter Pilotto for Target comes out February 9th. I know I’ll be there – and because it’s Target, I won’t have to feel guilty about it!
